Congratulations on your engagement - lots of exciting times ahead as you start planning your wedding! Choosing the right wedding photographer is a really important part of this, so here is some information about my photography style, along with my portfolio, that will hopefully help you decide if I am right for you!
- beautiful natural documentary photography.
- real moments, with all the fun and laughter, emotions, details and atmosphere of your day.
- with natural light as much as possible.
- without being noticed for most of the time.
I don't shoot:
- loads of group photos or a big ‘everyone’ photo.
- cheesy awkward bride & groom poses.
- anything gimmicky or fake.
- passport photos.
I love to be as quiet and invisible as possible at a wedding, documenting everything as it happens in a relaxed and natural way, capturing all the real moments, fun, laughter, and important details of your day, as well as some gorgeous pictures of the two of you enjoying it all together! For most of the wedding day you hopefully won’t even notice that I’m there, but I will capture a small number of ‘formal’ group photos if you would like them, and also some lovely relaxed bride & groom photographs around the venue’s grounds, making sure that you still have plenty of time to enjoy the celebrations!
Because of my love of nature and rustic backdrops, I am perhaps best suited to weddings in the countryside, in barns and country houses for example. My fine art style means that the use of light and composition are very important to me, at the same time as capturing all the love, hugs and laughs, emotions and memories of your wedding day.
I am a huge fan of smaller weddings and shorter day weddings - when I married my husband we had a very small “afternoon tea party” wedding, for just a few people, for just a couple of hours. It was perfect for us - we loved every minute! I found it was really hard though to find a fabulous wedding photographer who was happy to offer just a part day package. Therefore I want to offer part day wedding photography packages to everyone having smaller or shorter day weddings, or to those having a full wedding day but who just want beautiful professional wedding photographs for the main part of the day! I love to tell a wedding day story with just the amount of time that you need photography coverage for. Then you can get on with the celebrating without a camera around! (I do still offer longer day or full day wedding coverage too, but just for a few dates per year so please do check availability).
I have a very friendly approach and I am more than happy to offer you as much help, advice and guidance as you need as you prepare for your wedding day, with plenty of hints and tips from over ten years of weddings! For example, you can read some of my useful information blog posts here: Help & Advice, and also here: Wedding Venue Guides.
I do get booked up quite far in advance so I recommend enquiring about available dates as soon as you are looking at your venue. I am now fully booked for 2019 weddings and am taking bookings for 2020 weddings (nearly full!).
My prices start from £350 to £950 for part days, with longer day upgrades available. I am very happy to shoot part day or shorter day / smaller weddings and elopements, and I love to capture a story with whatever amount of time you would like photography coverage for! I would love to hear your wedding plans and find out what would fit you best.
I specialise in weddings in Hereford and Herefordshire, but I am very happy to travel elsewhere in the West Midlands and beyond too. Please get in touch to receive my brochure and find out more!
I do beautiful, creative, organic, joyful, natural, documentary wedding photography.
