Colourful Creative Wedding with Sunflowers & Giant Balloons!
A Fun Wedding in Monmouth:
Chloe & Joe were married in April at Monmouth Church, and then walked down through the high street to their reception venue, Drybridge House. This wedding was so much fun, and I just love all the colour! I also love all the quirky and creative homemade touches that Chloe & Joe have made for their wedding – it really fills it with their own character and personality, and makes it a day to remember!
Here’s what Chloe & Joe said when they received their photos:
“Thank you so so much for these – we’re absolutely thrilled with them!! We really can’t thank you enough for doing such an incredible job and for generally being an absolute delight to work with! We’ll be recommending you to everyone!”
Chloe’s dress is stunning and is the perfect length (I had this tea-length dress style when I got married!). Chloe has personalised hers with pink touches in the lining and bodice – gorgeous. The bridesmaids dresses were in different shades of pink too. The flowers are a joyful burst of colour, including spring blooms such as tulips and bluebells, daffodils and irises, plus roses, a gerbera for good measure, and bright sunny sunflowers. The groom and groomsmen were equally colourful, with matching buttonholes, bright yellow spotty ties and pocket-squares. Plus there were the cheerful giant balloons in pinks and yellow!
I’ll let the pictures tell the rest of the story…! Here are a few favourites…
The bride is ready and we’re off to Monmouth Church!
Joe’s face when he sees his bride for the first time is just amazing – I love that moment!
The flower girls (one of whom is their daughter) had a very important role to play- they brought Chloe and Joe their rings to get married! They did an outstanding job – Chloe and Joe were married and had their first kiss, to the uproarious applause of the congregation!
Great confetti throwing! Time for some photos… with giant colourful balloons of course!
Then for our walk down through the high street of Monmouth to the wedding reception at Drybridge House. This was just the best time – everyone was congratulating Chloe & Joe as the bridal party walked along with the giant colourful balloons – it was so much fun! The sun was shining brightly too! Great memories for the happy couple.
At Drybridge House, the jazz band was playing to accompany the drinks reception, and spontaneous dancing broke out! Inside, Chloe and Joe had created a colourful dining room for their guests.
A feast of colour in the dining room! Chloe & Joe worked so hard to make everything look completely fabulous – they created such a fun, unique and colourful wedding day for everyone to enjoy! I love the coloured streamers as the backdrop to the top table, and the quirky touches like the gold-painted dinosaurs (I want one) and pinwheels really add character and personality. The table numbers are indicated by a polaroid photo of Chloe and Joe each at that age, on every table! The bunting, jars of tulips, confetti and coloured napkins (with sweet bracelets) add more splashes of colour. The wedding breakfast was not traditional either – picnic hampers full of delicious delights! And the cake table was full of treats (many cakes were intolerance-friendly, thanks to Chloe’s clever mum’s baking skills). Chloe & Joe made a dramatic entrance and got on with the party!
Massive congratulations to Chloe & Joe on their amazing wedding day – it was so much fun and I loved shooting it! Thank you for having me there. Big thanks also to my second shooter Becky.
