HEREFORDSHIRE FARM WEDDING
I have been looking forward to blogging Rachel & Alexander’s wedding since I photographed it in May! Their day was so perfect, held at the family’s Fruit Farm in the Herefordshire countryside, surrounded by apple blossom and sunshine. Rachel & Alexander put so much hard work into planning their wedding and making all their decorations, stationery, and so much more. I’m also really thrilled to say that Rachel & Alexander followed every word of advice in my various blog posts and publications, and their day ran absolutely like clockwork, with perfect timings for everything, plenty of time for couple photos and mingling, and no stress whatsoever! It just shows that taking guidance from someone who knows a lot about weddings is a really great idea! Thank you Rachel & Alexander for putting your trust in me.
Rachel’s hair was by Bridal Beauty and her make-up was by Anastasia. Stunning! The wedding ceremony was held at Little Marcle Church, with the boys travelling there in the ‘yellow peril’. It matched the yellow and grey colour scheme perfectly! Rachel & Alexander and their families did an amazing job decorating the Burgoynes marquee. There was miles of yellow & grey bunting, loads of flowers, and real grass table centre-pieces which Rachel & Alexander had grown themselves – amazing and unique! They had also made their own wooden rustic bar and were serving their own cider. The favours were chocolate Kiwis which had all (miraculously) been brought over by Rachel’s family from New Zealand. The meal was a special traditional pie (catering by AtoZest). After a sunset photo opportunity in the orchards, Rachel & Alexander did their first dance, and then the partying continued into the night!
Here’s what Rachel & Alexander wrote in their lovely thank you card that they made from one of their pictures:
“Dear Gemma, we cannot thank you enough for the amazing pictures you took during our perfect day. The service you have provided has been incredible from day one. All our family and friends also agree that you and the photos you took are amazing… we always knew they would be! We look forward to working with you again in the future. With love, Mr & Mrs S” xx
So, here are a few favourites from an amazing wedding day in the beautiful Herefordshire countryside…
