Caradoc Court is a spectacular Jacobean manor house in Herefordshire, just a few miles north of Ross-on-Wye. John & Kathy Handby extend a warm welcome to their home, which is a beautiful and exclusive setting for a wedding. Tie the knot in the Great Hall, mingle in the gardens with roses in full bloom, then dine and dance in the wonderful panelled Ballroom. Caradoc Court is an exceptional venue for your unique wedding – and as they only hold a limited number of weddings here per year, it makes it all the more special.
Jo and Paul were married at Caradoc Court in June, and theirs was an amazing wedding day! With Jo’s side of the family being from Germany, there was a wonderful fusion of UK and German traditions! And they were lucky to get one of the non-rainy days of this summer, so there was plenty of opportunity to enjoy Caradoc’s beautiful grounds. Jo’s gorgeous dress was from White Minx Bridal Boutique, and the groomsmen’s suits were from Bill Child Formal Wear. The colours were country garden pinks and sage greens, in abundance in Jo’s amazing bouquet by Pam Bufton. I don’t think I have ever seen such a huge peony! Jo decorated the reception with DIY touches such as handmade table names (all after favourite childhood sweets!) and her friend painted stones for everyone’s name places, which is a really lovely and unique idea. I think the thing I love most about weddings at Caradoc is the bride’s entrance to the ceremony – a balcony above the ceremony hall is in darkness until John puts on the lights up there and everyone can suddenly see the bride and her father walking along to the stairs – the sudden gasp from the awaiting guests (and groom) below are wonderful! The evening’s entertainment was provided by D.J. Roddy Hankins – there was much ‘tail-feather’ shaking!
Here’s the lovely feedback I received from Jo & Paul – “To Gemma, we cannot thank you enough for everything you have done for us, pre-, during, and post our wedding day. Our album is simply stunning and we will enjoy looking at it in years to come. All the photos you took on our wedding day are truly gorgeous and we are so grateful for this. Love Jo & Paul”
Congratulations to Jo and Paul – it was a wonderful wedding day and I am so pleased you loved your photos! Here are some favourites…. x
