I believe that it is SO important to constantly keep learning and developing – investing in myself and my work so that my couples see the benefits. So, last week, I was in London, on the amazing “Art and The Heart” Workshop led by award-winning artists and photographers Samm Blake and Dan O’Day. This wasn’t just your average wedding photography course, oh no. This was a mind-blowing and life-changing experience that I am so glad to have been a part of: it has re-awakened my passion for creativity and my love of photography as a form of art, and I feel refreshed and inspired again and motivated to further develop my voice as an artist and a photographer. I feel there are so many exciting things ahead!

I love photographing weddings and I always will. But it is an amazing feeling to have re-ignited my artistic passion for photography that I first had before weddings became my life. I aim to bring more of my artistic voice into my wedding photography, and to constantly develop my ‘creative muscle’ so that my couples are getting something different and so much more than just a regular wedding photographer. My heart is firmly in my photography and I love being able to give people pictures of memories that I have captured for them. I aim to bring more emotion into my work, more capturing the story and all of the feelings in it. I aim to be the best that I can possibly be, and to be true to myself and my couples. There is much to do and the journey is just beginning!

Huge thanks to Samm and Dan for running such an awe-inspiring workshop, and good luck to all my fellow workshop-goers on all of our creative journeys – it was great to meet all of you. The pictures in this post were taken as part of my first creative project… and I will be aiming to launch a new website dedicated to my personal fine art work in the coming months.
