Hello!
I’m Gemma and I can usually be recognised by the cameras hanging round my neck. I live in Hereford, and I travel all over Herefordshire, Worcestershire, Gloucestershire, Shropshire and the rest of the UK to take pictures at weddings.
I bring a gorgeous and creative fine art approach to my documentary photography, with great attention to detail, natural lighting, and artistic composition. I am quiet, calming and unobtrusive on the day, so capturing events and emotions naturally – I even keep the ‘posed’ shots friendly, informal and fun. I like to give my clients something a bit special and different from the traditional, and I especially enjoy ‘alternative’ or quirky ideas! I am a member of the British Institute of Professional Photographers, and I have recently been featured in a number of national Wedding Magazines and Blogs, including ‘Rock N Roll Bride’, ‘Rock My Wedding’, ‘Perfect Wedding Magazine’, ‘Wedding Ideas’, ‘Your West Midlands Wedding’, and ‘Unique Bride’. This year I was voted the winner of The Wedding Industry Experts Awards Best Photographer in Herefordshire 2012 (bit of a mouthful) and I am also a Regional Finalist in the National Wedding Industry Awards 2013. Most of all though, I simply love a good wedding, and I am absolutely passionate about what I do.
Apart from holding a camera in front of my face, other things I love are curling up under the duvet with a good book, travelling to interesting new places, growing our own veg, coffee with friends, films, going for walks in the Herefordshire countryside (often involving a pub), baking cakes, and buying shoes. Oh, and I have just got married!!
Nothing makes me happier than being able to make people happy through my photography. I truly enjoy doing what I do, and I aim to make my photography a fun, relaxed and happy experience for my clients too! I shoot with my heart. This passion really shows in my photographs, and I hope you will love every one of them.
Gem x
