Another favourite wedding – what an amazing summer it has been! Here is the fantastic wedding of Jenny and Colin, who were married at the end of August. I had only met Jenny and Colin in the week leading up to the wedding, as they live in Dubai and had planned everything from there – excellent organisational skills! They had chosen another of my dream wedding venues – Penrhos Court in Herefordshire. Brimming with medieval charm and romance, this beautiful 700-year-old manor house and collection of barns is the perfect place to get married (and the food is amazing too!). Jenny wore a gorgeous vintage lace dress with antique gold sash and a vintage brooch. The wedding ceremony took place in one of the barns, lit by candles. Their guests lined the path from the manor house as Jenny walked in with her dad. The ceremony was really touching, with personal (and very funny!) readings from friends and family. Then, much to everyone’s surprise and delight, Jenny and Colin danced down the aisle to the closing song of ‘Grease’! After a rainy start the sun then shone warmly on everyone as they mingled with celebratory drinks in the grounds. The wedding breakfast was served in the spectacular medieval Cruck Hall, with the level of laughter and chatter increasing as the sun went down and guests were lit only by candlelight. Following the path of lanterns down to the barn, guests were again surprised with an amazing dance routine by Jenny and Colin! They started off doing the traditional ‘slow dance’ for their first dance, then Jenny stopped the band and asked them for something more fun, so they launched into OutKast’s ‘Hey Ya’! Jenny and Colin performed a brilliantly choreographed routine and the guests completely loved it! This just set the mood for the rest of the night, with everyone grooving away on the dance floor and generally rocking the barn! It was an absolutely amazing day, filled with the fun-loving and adventurous personality of Jenny and Colin themselves, and a huge thank you to them for having me there to join in with it all! Here are some of my favourite pictures…..
