Eleanor & Adam were married in August, at Wilton Castle, Ross-on-Wye, Herefordshire, and then went to nearby Orles Barn for their celebrations afterwards. Because outdoor marriage services aren’t yet legal in the UK (boo!), Eleanor and Adam actually got married at Hereford Town Hall the day before, so extending the wedding weekend celebrations! Wilton Castle is a beautiful setting for an outdoor blessing ceremony, and the weather was fortunately on our side, with the rain staying away all day. There was time after the ceremony for plenty of photographs around the amazing castle ruins and gardens, before the party walked to Orles Barn amidst the sound of honking car horns!
The reception venue was decorated with bunting and lanterns, and games were played on the lawn before going into the marquee for the wedding breakfast. As Eleanor & Adam are teachers, they had chosen a different school subject for each table and decorated it with appropriate favours for the guests to play with, ranging from English and P.E. to the Geeks and the Naughty Table! (The top table were the Prefects of course). Much fun and chaos ensued, and the helium balloons were even brought into the equation! It was the best idea for table decorations I have seen. The laughter continued into the speeches, and then it was the fun of the evening disco with everyone on the dancefloor making amazing shapes (particularly some very cool air-guitaring!).
Eleanor had chosen three fabulous different and striking colours for her bridesmaids, flowers, decorations and groomsmen’s cravats, socks and buttonholes. She had even found shoes to combine all three colours – they were fab! All the colours tied in perfectly and added to the fun and vibrant atmosphere of their amazing wedding day.
